The UN’s Own Weapons Arsenal

While the United Nations keep pushing for full disarmament of the people around the world it is worth looking at the UN’s own weapons arsenal. It’s very clear that the ban of small arms, like guns, is a complete but  dangerous joke and has all the earmarks of a true dictatorial move.

Not only does the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) enforce the disarmament of civilians, it’s also a one way deal:

Leaving the UN in full control of all kinds of weapons, weapons which are much larger and more powerful than the small weapons that the ATT is set to ban, is an open invitation to establish a global oppressive regime.

In addition, countries profiting the most from the international arms trade are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council: the USA, UK, France, Russia, and China. Each with the full power to enforce a veto, in case they don’t like what other states propose. It is therefore utterly hypocrite to believe that the UN itself would not benefit as well from this arms trade by its permanent members.

Of course the UN loves it when they are featured in cartoons and animations. An “ideal way” to reach the minds of children. (Neon Genesis Evangelion, commonly referred to as Evangelion or Eva, is a Japanese science-fantasy animation series that first aired from October 1995 to March 1996)

The UN’s budget for 2012–13 totaled US$ 5,152 billion (resolution 66/248). Areas of increased expenditures also include Disarmament. The total number of staff posts is 10,336.

The “peacekeeping” budget for the 2013–14 fiscal year was US$7.54 billion (not including outstanding contributions to “peacekeeping” as of 31 October 2013, which is about an additional US$3.26 billion). It finances 98,014 uniformed personnel of which 82,318 troops deployed in 16 missions around the world. The total number of personnel serving in 16 DPKO-led peace operations is 118,580.

In 2013, the top 10 providers of assessed financial contributions to United Nations “peacekeeping operations” were the US (28.38%), Japan (10.83%), France (7.22%), Germany (7.14%), the United Kingdom (6.68%), China (6.64%), Italy (4.45%), Russian Federation (3.15%), Canada (2.98%) and Spain (2.97%).

As can be expected, these numbers are only what the UN makes public, what the people are being allowed to know. The percentage of their budget, that is provided to the UN by its member states, which is covered by the trade in weapons by their (permanent) member states is not stated and is most likely classified information.

Ask yourself this simple question. If the United Nations really was about peace, caring, good intentions and helping the poor, why is it then that we can fill a whole website, United Nations Brigandage, with facts that prove the exact opposite?
